The club is located right alongside the access siding to UGL’s Bassendean loco workshops and as such we are often treated to the rumble of some big locos slowly making their way past the clubrooms.

Such a visit occurred today (28^th Feb 2024) when NR91 and an unidentified class mate (both in Pacific National livery) were making their way from the workshops back in to service.

The WAMRC really could not be located in a better position! Not only are our clubrooms in the heart of the Railway Museum, but we are also right alongside a live railway siding leading to UGL Limited’s Bassendean locomotive workshops. It is not uncommon to witness locos entering or leaving the workshops while at the club as these photos courtesy of Garry West show.
