The West Australian Model Railway Club can trace its beginnings back to an initial meeting on the 10th June 1957. As such it is the oldest extant Model Railway Club in Western Australia.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this date in 1987, one club member invested significant time and effort to trace and record the club’s history. This was published in The Regulator, the club’s magazine at that time, and is reproduced here. Note that the editorial comments are preserved as they too are of historical interest — but are probably no longer applicable.
