The annual Perth Model Railway Exhibition is on again at the Silver Jubilee Pavillion at the Claremont Showgrounds on the weekend of the 22–23 June 2024 (8am — 4pm both days).
The Perth Model Railway Exhibition is back this year at Claremont for the first time since 2019!
Held over the long weekend at the beginning of June, the last three exhibitions have been missed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a change from previous years, there are apparently no door sales and all tickets must be booked online. See https://expo.amrawa.asn.au/ for more details.
Note: The WAMRC is not involved in organising or running this exhibition in any way. If you wish to make an enquiry with the event organisers, please follow the link above and use the “Contact Event Organiser” button.
The Railway Museum in conjunction with the WAMRC is holding an open day on Sunday 2nd April to celebrate model railways and preserved working machines.
A typical glorious winter day in Perth ensured a large crowd attended the 2022 Mini Model Railway Exhibition at the WA Railway Museum on 5/06/22. Photo credit: Jan West.
A great day on Sunday 5th June at the Mini Model Railway exhibition at the Railway Museum in Bassendean! Glorious winter Perth weather ensured a big crowd and a marvelous time was had by all!
Here some photos from day courtesy of Jan West and Paul Webb.
Sadly the annual WA Model Railway Exhibition at Claremont Showgrounds over the June long weekend has been cancelled for the third year running (due to uncertainty surrounding public health restrictions), so Rail Heritage WA in conjunction with the WAMRC are taking the opportunity to hold a ‘Mini Model Railway Expo’ on Sunday 5th June.
This event was a big success last year and is sure to be even better this year!
